Bunt

Max got a hit tonight. An awesome bunt on the first pitch of his second at bat. Safe a first, stole second and third and home on a teammate's hit. A couple of great slides going around. His smile was priceless when he came home. Proud of him.

He's struggled in hitting on his Trojan baseball team so this was big for him. He's been on base lots - walks and hit by the ball - but he's somewhat paralyzed to hit. He's afraid of being hit waiting for the perfect ball and does a lot of watching the ball. I keep telling him, "Swing the bat. At some point the bat will hit the ball!" He had a nice foul ball as well tonight in his third at bat. No hit and not on base but the bat hit the ball. He's going to get this!
