Senior Sunday one more time....

The final Senior Sunday for Max. The purple cap and gown are about to have their turn. Liberty SEnior Awards and Recognition last Wednesday. Senior Recognition at church today. Last day of school Tuesday. That only leaves graduation next Sunday! 

One week of school

One more week of K-12 school for Max. Five school days. one more Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I used to tell him that in anticipation of the summer fun and eventually the fall school year starting. An entirely new meaning this year. My heart continues to go between swelling out of excitement and pride to sadness. Presume that's going to continue for a few weeks. Maybe months! Thinking of all you parents going through the same during this season. So many ups and downs for kids and parents as we reach this milestone and new chapters soon begin. May we all find patience and grace as we love, grow, struggle, soar and find our way.

Liberty High Difference Makers

Max served on the leadership team for Liberty High School Difference Makers Dance for a Differnece this year. I saw him put in time and effort that often made me pause. He gave his heart to the event. This team was impressive and on Sunday, May 1, they reaised $22,618.22 for kids and their familes battling life threating diseases. Some proud parent moments, like this, stand out more than others. Congrats to all involved and thanks to all who supported the effort. Way to go Max!

I love being a mom more than anything - the challenges are many but the rewards and triumphs are far great. These three have my heart everyday and have taught me so much. I am so blessed by my trifecta and the addition of a few more. I could not do this journey without my own mom so huge love for her today and everyday.

I know I am partial but they were the best looking couple of the night!

McKenna and Max have been friends since birth. Going to two different high schools, they rarely get to see each other for a school activity. Dana and I loved this!

Mom, can you bring me.....

Less than 3 weeks of high school left and he still on (rare) occasion needs me to bring him something. Let me be honest, once he moves out, he can ask me more than rarely!

Beckman / Thompson Crew does Pittsburgh!

No school for the boys on Friday so we headed to Pennsylvania with Andy to see the rest of the boys and celebrate his birthday. Covered a lot of ground - TopGolf, PNC Park and Heinz Field (no tours or home events while we were there), Piccolo Forno (highly recommend), ice cream, friendly games of Balderdash, Finn's soccer, Randyland, Immersive Van Gogh exhibit (not the boys' highlight of the trip), Arsenal Bowling (turkey - first time - for mw in the 10th), ice cream, Phipps Conservatory (beautiful, not the boys' highlight of the trip), Schenley Park, frisbee golf with post hole interviews (maybe the trip highlight), Cinderlands Warehouse for Andy's birthday (a highlight), Spin scooters, ice cream and more ice cream (definitely a highlight) - lots of steps. A weekend of laughter, minimal arguments, beautiful weather and time together (missed Hayden who had Luther soccer in Minneapolis). The boys and I also met Graham T's girlfriend, Izzie. Was great to have another female around for a bit of the time!

Andy's birthday is today and since he's not on social media, the lateness of my public wish will not be noticed. Still though a happy birthday to this guy. Love you and glad we all celebrated you yesterday. (Update - a highlight for all except Andy. - Graham has passed his dad’s height!!!! What a bday gift!)

And a final highlight - seeing my OB (in the airport), who delivered all three of the boys.
