Written notes

"I'm glad you taught us to write notes to people. I think I get it now." This said to me with a genuine smile. One of those moments where I give a smile back to Max and he has no idea how deep it runs.

"That makes me feel really good."

"I think it's nice when you write a note to someone. It means a lot and they know you took the time to think of them."

This carried into a sweet conversation about Valentine's Day cards and messages for Andy and Grace.

All those thank you notes and birthday cards have paid off. He gets it. He does.
