Dear Pierce,
In November or December, your grandparents and the four of us worked to get you to say "Gamma." We talked about who lived with Gump, we'd point to her, she's say it, everything. We didn't make much progress and you continued to call her "Gump" or nothing at all. Somewhere along the way, my dad said "her name is Mary." Yes, you can guess where this is going. The next few times asked, you said "Mar." It continues today and of course, you laugh about it.
Later today you are going to Gamma and Gump's for the weekend while dad and I host a holiday party. At breakfast today, you kept saying, "I go to Gump's hous." Your dad said, multiple times, "Who lives with Gump?" and "Who else will you see?" Your response, "Mar."
You will benefit greatly if you learn "Gamma" although you'll take away a bit of laughter from the rest of us!
Love you, mom.
*Sorry mom, another grandchild not only learned Gump first, but thinks you are Gump or Mar.
